HATHA YOGA

After a ten-year plus personal practice, I completed my 200 and 300-hour advanced teacher training in 2010 and 2018 respectively. at the Birchwood Center in Nyack. I began teaching small group classes, semi-private/private sessions/workshops at a small private studio. After taking a break for a few years to focus on cycling, I came back to yoga with a new perspective and undertook the advanced teacher training. I currently teach two weekly asana classes at the Birchwood Center as well as a weekly meditation class.

I have taught numerous workshops including but not limited to Restorative Yoga, Applied Anatomy in Asana, Meditation and Non-Attachment.

My teaching is based in applied anatomy, alignment, better breathing practice, subtle practices, the yamas/niyamas all with a little Zen secreted in. Plus, I like to laugh, a lot.

Group class: $20 per person for over 4 people

Semi-private: $30 per person, up to 4 people

Private: $80 per hour

YOGA TUNE UP®

Yoga Tune Up® is a unique fitness format that combines human movement, corrective exercise, yoga, body therapy and self-massage to eradicate pain, improve posture and enhance performance. Rather than teaching specific poses, Yoga Tune Up® teaches you to find, address and heal overused or abused tissues---the "body blind spots." Yoga Tune Up® helps address the wear and tear of daily life on your body.

This includes utilized The Roll Model Method® therapy ball as pictured above. Keeping your tissues healthy is key to being healthy.

You don't have to know Yoga to practice Yoga Tune Up®, it is for everybody and every body.

As a cyclist, coach and teacher, I have found that integrating Yoga Tune Up® as a regular part of recovery and self-maintenance is invaluable. It's a huge component of what I teach.

CYCLING

I am an avid cyclist and started to ride and race endurance/long format six years ago, specifically Gran Fondo. I have been a member of the Gruppo Sportivo Gran Fondo New York for four years and GFNY Head of Group Rides for three years.

My knowledge of anatomy and cycling biomechanics allow me to pinpoint issues with fit or technique and work creatively to solve those issues with clients. I also work with cyclists and athletes on recovery routines, integrating Yoga, Yoga Tune Up®, strengthening and corrective exercise to improve performance.
